Microcement in Dublin & Ireland

Microcement has become a favourite among interior designers across Dublin and Ireland for its remarkable versatility and seamless aesthetic. Applied in a continuous layer across walls, floors, counter tops, table tops and furniture, it creates a sleek, joint-free surface that makes spaces feel larger and more cohesive. Available in a wide spectrum of colours and finishes — from matte to satin to high gloss — it adapts effortlessly to both minimalist contemporary interiors and warmer, more rustic schemes. Its slim application thickness also means it can be laid over existing surfaces, making it an ideal choice for renovations throughout Ireland.

Beyond its visual appeal, microcement is exceptionally practical. It is highly resistant to water, stains, and abrasion, making it well suited to kitchens, bathrooms, and high-traffic areas where durability matters. Its non-porous, sealed surface is easy to clean and naturally discourages the growth of mould and bacteria, contributing to a healthier indoor environment. Lightweight yet robust, it places minimal structural load on a building while delivering the sophisticated, monolithic look of polished concrete — offering homeowners and designers a surface that is as hardworking as it is beautiful.

Based in Dublin, we work with homeowners, architects and interior designers on microcement projects across Ireland — from bathroom and kitchen renovations to full commercial fit-outs. Every surface is hand-applied by our specialist team and sealed to the highest standard.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Once properly sealed, microcement is highly water-resistant and suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms and kitchens. We apply a specialist sealer that protects against water, stains and everyday wear.

Absolutely. One of the biggest advantages of microcement is that it can be applied directly over tiles, concrete, plasterboard and most existing surfaces — meaning less disruption and no need to strip the room back to substrate.

With proper care, a microcement surface will last 15–20 years or more. It develops no cracks under normal conditions and is easy to maintain with regular cleaning and periodic resealing.

Microcement is flexible by nature and resistant to cracking. When applied correctly over a sound substrate with the right primer and mesh reinforcement, cracking is extremely rare.

Day-to-day cleaning is straightforward — a damp mop or cloth is all you need. Avoid abrasive cleaners. We recommend resealing high-traffic areas every few years to keep the finish looking its best.

Microcement is available in a wide spectrum of colours and can be finished to matte, satin or high-gloss sheen. We work with you to match your design vision, whether that's a warm, earthy tone or a cool, industrial grey.

A typical room takes 4–5 days including drying time between coats. Larger projects are scheduled in phases to minimise disruption. We'll provide a clear timeline before work begins.
